What Are Joe Vitale's Top 3 Secrets To Instantly Writing Hypnotic Headlines?

Without a doubt, Joe Vitale is recognized as the "World's
First-Ever Hypnotic Copywriter."

In a recent interview for the List Crusade program, Dr. Joe
Vitale revealed secrets for creating hypnotic headlines that
will compel your readers to read your article or sales
letter.

(Note: To hear Joe Vitale's complete audio interview, see
end of article)

Joe revealed that he often starts to write with a working
title in place.  After the article is written, he goes back
and selects the best headline that'll stop readers dead in
their tracks.

Over the years, he's discovered 30 tried-and-proven formulas
(many have been in use for over 150 years) for writing
hypnotic headlines.

In the List Crusade interview, Joe revealed 3 of his
favorite headline formulas that you can use today to start
writing hypnotic headlines that will grab your readers.

Would you like to know them?

Listen closely:

1) Ask a question--Joe claims that this formula is a billion
dollar tip and his secret weapon.  Here's an example that
Joe recently used: What Is the Secret To Getting Rich Today?

According to Joe, questions engage the mind and open your
reader up to the message you're trying to communicate.
Warning: the question must be open-ended and not something
that can be answered with a YES or NO.  It must be one that
can only be answered by reading the article.

By the way, did you notice that I used this method in the
headline of this article?  It works, doesn't it?

2) Use the word WANTED to start the headline--This word
grabs attention and calls out to your target audience. Just
think about WANTED posters in the Old West or want ads in
your newspaper.

For an example of how to use this technique, I could have
titled this article as:

Secrets To Writing Hypnotic Headlines

3) Start the headline with beginning word "Who Else"--You've
probably seen this in many different ads.  It's a standard
pattern that many top copywriters use.  Why?  Because it
works.   By the way, did you notice that this technique is
actually a variation of Joe's favorite technique of asking
questions?

For example: Who Else Wants To Know Joe Vitale's Top 3
Secrets To Instantly Writing Hypnotic Headlines?

As you sit there learning these techniques, you are getting
more and more excited about actually writing headlines for
your articles and sales letters.

If you're at all involved in Internet Marketing, I can't
think of a more knowledgeable person to learn from than Joe
Vitale.

Joe also revealed:

 * Instant hypnotic list-building tricks that'll pull in
   subscribers like mindless zombies

 * What is Karmic Marketing?

 * Mental techniques to make writing killer money-pulling copy
   a breeze

 * How to use an "ethical bribe" to get subscribers to your
   ezine

Take these secrets from Joe Vitale's interview and use them
today.  The more you use them, the more you'll find that
they'll become automatic and your Internet Marketing will

How to Start a Walking Program

Did you know that walking is the number one participation

sport in the world?  Walking is one of the best things you

can do for overall health and wellness.  When you walk you

use more muscles than any other sport.  In fact, walking

uses almost all of the 650 muscles and 203 bones found in

the human body. So what are you waiting for?

There is not much involved in starting a walking program.

You can start immediately and you don’t need a coach to

teach you how to walk.  The equipment required to start is

minimal and relatively inexpensive.

Important Equipment

The most important piece of equipment you will need is a

good pair of walking or running shoe.   Most shoe stores

and sporting goods stores should be able to supply you with

a good selection.  You can also check out some of the

online stores, you will find some good sources at

DrLeonards.com or FootSmart.com. You may also want to think

about getting  yourself a pedometer.  Pedometers are handy

little gadgets that can measure your distance and time and

help you keep track of your progress.

Why am I walking?

Now that you have your equipment and are ready to go, it

might be nice to know why you are starting a walking

program.  The health benefits of walking are many and

include the following:

·                    Helps with weight loss.

·                    Helps to reduce blood pressure

·                    Reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes

·                    Relieves stress

·                    Boosts overall energy levels

·                    Strengthens the heart and reduces the

risk of heart disease

·                    Studies have shown that walking

relieves depression and     anxiety

·                    Strengthens your body

·                    Burns almost the same amount of

calories as running

How should I start?

Since walking uses almost all 650 of your muscles it is a

very good idea to warm up before you begin a walk.  This

will loosen up your body and help to avoid injury.

How long should I walk?

You should build up to walking for about one hour.  Your

current fitness level will determine the length and time of

your first walk.   Some people will only be able to walk

around the block, others will able to walk the full hour.

Do what you feel comfortable with and build from that

point.  Keep a log to measure your progress.  As you become

fitter, increase the pace and distance.

Personally, I like to measure my walks in distance.  A

pedometer will be of great assistance.  Measuring your walk

in distance helps to compensate for days when you might

walk a little slower or faster.  After your first few walks

try to achieve a brisk pace where you may be puffing a

little but you can still talk.  Remember, there is not much

difference in the amount of energy (calories) expended by

walking or running a specified distance.

After you have finished your walk don’t forget to cool

down.  Try to spend about 5 minutes walking slowly.  This

will allow your heart, lungs and blood flow to return to

normal gradually. This decreases strain on your heart and

can help to prevent muscle strain and soreness.

JUST DO IT!!!

Hey, you’ve seen the commercials.  Now you just have to

commit yourself to walking on a regular schedule.  Make it

part of your routine just like brushing your teeth.  It’s

easy to do and doesn’t require special training or

equipment.  Just do it!

Internet Business Myths That Keep Success At Bay

Interested in making a full time income running an internet
business?

Well, one of the first things you need to do is forget a lot of
the "myths" that keep being repeated online. Let's go through
five of them here:

Myth 1: "Running a successful online business is easy".

No it isn't. No business success comes easy.

If money was really that easy to make, word would spread and
everyone would jump on it, including investors!

Business doesn't work like that - it's competitive, and because
of this requires hard work and vigilance.

If you treat your internet business like a job, and always do
your very best for your boss (you), then you're off to a great
start.

That said - if you're only looking to make $200 extra a month,
or even $500 extra a month, that IS easy. Just sell some odds
and ends on eBay. A part time income is not particularly
difficult to achieve online with online auctions and other
outlets like Amazon Marketplace.

But - if you're looking for a full time income, you need to
work at it. There is no "secret formula", never was and never
will be.

Myth 2: "Running an internet business costs next to nothing".

Well, somewhat true, but it misses the point.

You can run an online business very cheaply (my basic running
costs are around $150 a month - hosting, autoresponders...etc)
but if you want your business to grow at very low cost, you'll
have to do all the promotions for free.

Free online marketing tactics generally take time to work, and
require a lot of elbow-grease: writing articles to distribute,
writing pages to get search engine traffic, creating products,
building up an affiliate program, getting links in to your
sites...

Alternatively - if you want to speed things up, you can
advertise. And depending on how well your site converts
visitors into customers, and how targeted your advertising is,
you can grow very quickly that way.

If you're interested in putting a few hundred dollars aside
into an "advertising fund" and trying to build your business
quickly that way, pay-per-click advertising would probably be
the best way to start.

Focus on Google Adwords & Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly
Overture) for starters since they have the most traffic, as
well as the most responsive traffic.

But before diving in headfirst and potentially throwing good
money after bad on inefficient advertising, it's strongly
recommended you fully understand the subject, or get the advice
of a professional.

Either consult with one (if you can find a reputable one), or
devour eBooks on the subject.

Recommended eBooks are anything by Andrew Goodman or Perry
Marshall. Make sure the information is up to date though as the
pay-per-click field changes incredibly quickly. Twelve months is
a lifetime when it comes to the search engines.

Also recommended is spending time absorbing the Google Adwords
training site and also the Yahoo Search Marketing training
site.

Both these companies want you to succeed with your advertising
(since you'll advertise with them for longer) and so have a lot
of great information to help you get started and build a
successful advertising campaign.

Myth 3: "All traffic is the same".

This myth often presents itself as "Buy 10,000 visitors from us
for $9.95 and you'll make lots of sales!" (or something along
those lines).

Ignore such sales pitches - they're complete rubbish. And
here's why:

Bulk traffic like this is completely untargeted and a complete
waste of your time and money.

Just think - if you were selling a book through direct mail on
"How To Get Rich In Real Estate" and you had to choose a
mailing list to promote to, would you rather:

1) Mail your offer to a list of people who had already
expressed an interest in the subject by purchasing similar
products?

2) Or would you feel it was better to instead pick names at
random out of the phone book and make that list the offer?

Silly question, right?

Well, it's the same online - all traffic is not identical.
People surfing have different interests and motivations, just
like they do offline.

To maximize your chances of making money, you want to target
the visitors most likely to convert to customers for you and
get them to your site.

Myth 4: "Opt-in email doesn't work anymore".

From my own personal experience:

Opt-in mail does work, but not as well as it used it. Many spam
and email filters are over-zealous these days and delete mail
people have asked to receive (opt-in mail) at the same time as
unsolicited email (spam).

Plus - people are very worried about phishing emails these days
(emails that try to fool you into typing in your private
details) and often delete emails out of fear if they don't
recognize who sent it.

But these points aside, opt in email can still work - so don't
discount it before you try it.

Myth 5: "You don't need any technical skills"

Let's be frank - without technical skills you're going to
struggle big time.

If you're going to run an internet business, for starters you
want to be comfortable with computers and familiar with the
internet.

And you really want to get to grips with HTML and FTP. Those
seven letters are the building blocks of creating any kind of
website and getting it live online. If you don't know them, get
to know them. There's plenty of great tutorials online.

Or even just for starters - you can easily create web pages
visually (without messing around with HTML code) by using a
visual web page editor. There's plenty to be found by searching
download.com.

So put these internet business myths out of your mind and get
cracking on building your business into a success.Louis Allport is an online product developer

Obstacles To Small Business Usage Of eLearning In Europe

I would like to start my article with a few economic facts which could lay a background for the message I want to get across.

The political agenda of making Europe the most competitive global economy by 2010 has not been matched by developments over the past five years. Demographics show that Europe will continue to have a shrinking workforce between now and 2020 with older workers forming the core of the European workforce.

Currently 80 million EU citizens are low-skilled. By 2010 it is estimated that half of all additional new jobs on the labour market will require tertiary education and almost 40% upper secondary level. Logically, the job prospects for the low skilled will decline. So we are currently confronted with the situation where half the EU workforce (some 100 people) require upskilling.

This in my view cannot take place in the back to the classroom scenario, Learning and upskilling must be integrated in the workplace.

These unsettling prospects must also be seen in the current European economic structure. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the European Union. They account for 99% of all businesses; they provide employment for 74 million people.

Elearning through the flexibility and facility of access it offers is seen – at least politically – as an important enabler of lifelong learning. However, while we can observe an increase use and impact of elearning in large European companies – up to 60% of the training needs of key players in the ICT sector is now provided by elearning) the uptake in SME’s is at best slow and does not meet initial hopes and expectations.

A recent study carried out by Cedefop and the European Commission shows that elearning has had a limited impact on SME’s in terms of those who use it and what it is used for, The use was almost always limited to managers and ICT based staff. The case studies carried out showed that in five European countries there were a number of factors decisive in influencing the development of ICT for learning in SME’s. The most significant were:

- the total lack of training culture within the SME
- lack of appropriate learning materials
- the attitude of individual managers
- and lack of access to sufficient bandwidth to ensure high quality training.

Broadly speaking and with few exceptions, despite spawning a number of new technology companies and numerous government and European sponsored programme’s the uptake and efficacy of learning using ICT has been less than convincing. The development of learning in Europe has been dominated by the metaphor of the virtual classroom and the virtual university, it has equally been dominated with an obsession with technology and very little attention has been paid to vocational and occupational learning or the development of elearning environments in less formal learning contexts.

Like it or not, research suggests today that most learning takes place in every and work social situations, In other words, most of our learning is informal and takes place in a variety of social contexts. Work is carried out in a social context – this is particularly the case in small and medium-sized enterprises and plays a very important part in people’s lives. If elearning is to make a contribution to changing the traditional learning paradigm – institution based – phase and stage related) it must become embedded in the work organisation.

The use of ICT in the broad sense for learning is considered a major factor in implementing the paradigm of lifelong learning and in providing staff from SME’s in particular with access to continuing vocational education and training.

The main objectives of ICT supported learning should take forward the following objectives:

- it should increase access to learning opportunities through increased flexibility of delivery modes and by overcoming geographical barriers to participation,

- it should enhance the quality of the learning experience in terms of content and teaching

- ultimately it should increase the efficiency of the organisation by reducing costs and increasing productivity.

So what are the obstacles to making elearning happen in SME’s

Firstly I believe that people are ready to learn when they realise that they don’t know something that they need to know in order to accomplish a goal they wanted to approach. Thus there is little use in a philosophy of one size fits all, To date most elearning has been an attempt to put books on computers interrupted by a multiple choice test, The advocates of elearning have not spent time trying to understand how the new medium changes the educational experience. They are simply trying to replicate what is there now while leaving out some of the important parts such as the teacher. The value of a computer may seem at first to be its ability to deliver information anytime anywhere but its value in education is much more important. When the air flight simulator was invented what was important was not the fact that it could be used in any remote location. It enabled pilots to learn to fly without risk and to accumulate the experience but not be harmed by it

Today, to give another example, most university courses are lecture courses. Lectures are evidence of the inertia that exists in education and still reflects ancient educational considerations. ELearning needs to be about learning by doing, also using the computer to evoke simulated experience. One should learn to run a business by running it rather than reading or hearing about how to do it.

The emphasis in the elearning industry has changed somewhat over the past five years from a technological to a pedagogical perspective.

So first and foremost there must be a broader understanding of what elearning really is and that it impacts largely on how, where, what and how the learner progresses.

Secondly, I would return to the issue of the learning culture. What is the motivation of the learner in the SME. Are their incentives – tangible or intangible for improving his/her competences. ELearning cannot be removed from the whole debate of the learning organisation, of managing human capital and recognising the assets of the company are largely in the heads of its employees. Workplaces need to be designed to facilitate learning and learning infrastructures. This requires examination of what forms of work organisation are needed to support elearning in SME’s and how skills gained from formal and informal learning activities can be applied in the workplace. In this domain current research is weak.

The third issue I would touch upon is the question of pedagogies and learning cultures. Work is still outstanding in defining and analysing the training and learning needs of SME’s and of its managers and employees. In an elearning context there is a need to develop effective pedagogies, materials and eresources,

Fourthly the issue of elearning materials and infrastructures. We need a much broader understanding of how electronic media and applications can be used to support elearning. This should go hand in hand with an audit of what elearning materials are actually available to SME’s, how does it fit their real learning needs. This would led me on to the issue of localisation of software but that I shall leave aside for the present.

Point number five. That elearning is a cheap learning solution is a myth. On average US estimates put costs of one hour elearning instructional material at 20 000 dollars – in some cases as high as 80 000 dollars. If materials can not be recycled, if learning materials cannot be adapted to specific learning environments, it learning materials have not complied with technical standards, then there use is limited and the return on investment non-existent.

And perhaps the last point I wish to make. What about the models and frameworks to support elearning in SME’s. There are growing national and regional initiatives, and here I would point to Scotland as one outstanding example for networking and support to the SME looking for elearning opportunities. For SME’s I believe in terms of financial resources, the most convincing model is one based on learning regions and partnerships.

The issue of open standards is essential it elearning is to be a feasible investment = particularly for SME’s. Similarly there is a need for a lifecycle model of learning content covering all aspects of content from creation to delivery storage and retrieval.

The issue of the changing role of the trainer or educator is equally important. They potentially play the key role as change agents. Their continuous professional development is essential and work we have carried out at Cedefop shows that there is major concern among teachers and trainers that they are not equipped to support technology in the learning environment

To conclude, I think I have tried to advocate the view that the issue of how a culture of lifelong learning should be developed and supported in SME’s is a complex one. It is unsure to me if present national and European policies promote access to continuing learning as a pubic right or. a private good, What is the balance between the responsibilities of the public and private sectors regarding elearning. And this raises the vital question of funding. Already there are substantial differences in access to lifelong learning and elearning for different occupational and social groups. This in turn raises the issue of social exclusion.

I am afraid that my article raises more questions that provides answers to the issues of elearning in SME’s. But if such issues are not addressed at all levels – European, national and regional, the promise of elearning as a driver of economic growth and performance in Europe could easily turn into a myth. Colin McCullough works at a European level for increasing awareness of technology supported learnng. He has consulted for a number of companies including http://www.modusvivendi-design.com

Michael Masterson's Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting

Review: Michael Masterson's Accelerated Program for Six-Figure
Copywriting
by Karon Thackston © 2005
http://www.thewriterslife.com/bb/mwd6/

I have to tell you, I was very skeptical in the beginning.
Nervous even. I had one finger on the "buy now" button, and one
finger poised, ready to request a refund. I guess, when I bought
Michael Masterson's course, I was anxious that this would be one
of those screaming, ranting, raving sales letter courses that
tells you that you HAVE to write all copy the same way with a
tone that sounds like a used car salesman on steroids. I just
wasn't going to do that.

Let me explain. I'm not a newbie. I've been in copywriting (for
various mediums) for over 20 years. I even published my own
copywriting course (http://www.copywritingcourse.com) that deals
primarily with website and search engine copywriting. The one
thing I've never gotten involved with, however, was writing sales
letters.

I guess I always had too much else going on to learn how. I did
know enough to understand that writing sales letters is a
specialized art that required a lot of training. I also knew
there was a TON of research conducted over the past few decades
to determine what really worked and what didn't. Lastly, I knew
successful sales letter writing - the kind that pulled in
million-dollar responses - was not something you could just jump
into.

I finally decided this was something I wanted to do. I wanted to
learn to write sales letters, and I wanted to do it the right
way. And what the heck, it was $39 a month, and I could cancel
at any time. Plus, if it was really bad, I could ask for a
refund anytime within the first 30 days.

I did it! I clicked the "buy now" button and started the
process.

What I Didn't Like About This Sales Letter Course

Let me clarify something before I tell you what I didn't like.
This is a correspondence course. The lessons are mailed to you
(along with a nice binder to keep them in). You complete the
lessons and return them via mail or email. It is a self-paced
course, but it is also instructor led to a certain extent.

Really, there was only one thing I didn't like about this sales
letter writing course, and it is a sheer matter of personal
choice. My only concern was that you get little feedback about
your assignments throughout the course.

What happens is this. You complete the first section of the
course and the initial assignment. Your assignment is thoroughly
reviewed and mailed back to you. I was really impressed with the
amount of time my instructor spent reviewing my assignment and
the comments he gave. The instructors move quickly, so you get
feedback within a couple weeks.

Then you complete the rest of the course on your own. You don't
mail in any of your other assignments to have them reviewed until
the end of the course. In the process of completing the other
assignments, you're actually writing your sales letter in
different sections. Then, when you're finished, you mail (or
email) the final assignment in to be reviewed.

Now, I do need to clarify that there is a student services
department and a forum where you can ask general questions and
what not. But they do not give feedback on your sales letter
writing assignments.

What I Did Like About the Course

What I did like FAR outweighs what I didn't like. I've always
said the best way to learn is through a combination of examples
and practice. The course is professionally written and gives you
lots of both. examples and practice elements.

It was easy to follow and laid out in an organized manner. The
sections weren't very long and could be completed in a fairly
short amount of time. (Important to me because I have a
copywriting agency to run!)

The course is set up for newbies, but - even though I've been
writing copy for two decades - it was still interesting to me.
While I may have known a lot of the information in the course, I
needed to study how that information applied specifically to
sales letter writing.

I was truly impressed at the quality of information (including
many insider secrets you usually only get from having years of
experience in the business). Every lesson had something that
made me think, and all the lessons flowed logically as I went
through the entire course.

Michael Masterson's course is published by AWAI (the American
Writers & Artists Institute). In addition to the course, they
offer a wide range of "job placement" opportunities in the way of
forums, databases and conferences. So, in addition to learning
to write sales letters, you also get help finding assignments
once you've graduated. That's a BIG plus for those just starting
out or those who are new to direct mail.

Lastly, as I mentioned before, when you do get feedback from your
instructor, it is helpful, thorough, detailed and insightful.
Your assignments are not just skimmed and topped with a short
"great job!" and returned to you. The ideas and suggestions the
instructors make truly are helpful.

Do I recommend it? Oh yes. definitely! But only if you're
serious about becoming a copywriter or enhancing your skills as a
copywriter. This is not recommended for people who aren't
dedicated to becoming the best. It will take some work to
complete.

I've enjoyed taking the course and learning how to apply
different skills and talents to writing sales letters. Most of
all, though, it's been profitable because it will lead to a whole
new world of copywriting projects!Karon Thackston is a graduate of Michael Masterson's Accelerated
Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and is also a seasoned website
and search engine copywriting pro. To get complete details about

10 Ways To Lower Your Auto Insurance

Nowadays, auto insurance is really expensive. A typical insurance policy can cost a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars a year. And the insurance rates you pay are hugely dependent on the insurance company or agent, your age, your car type, your driving record, and even the area you reside in!

You should never go without auto insurance though, despite the costs. Almost all the states require you to protect yourself with a minimum amount of liability coverage. Naturally, the bare minimum is not adequate enough for the average car owner. And as you add in additional coverage for your car, you realize that you will be paying a fairly large sum annually.

So, understanding auto insurance can actually help you to decide on a suitable insurance policy that won't vacuum clean your wallet! Here, we have gathered 10 of the best tips for lowering your auto insurance, by as much as 40%!

Always compare insurance policies. There are states which regulate auto insurance rates, but the insurance premiums can vary by hundreds of dollars for the exact same coverage. It is definitely worthwhile to shop around. The first thing you can do is to check with your state insurance department. They often provide information about the coverage you need, as well as sample rates from the biggest companies. You can also ask your friends or look up the yellow pages. Checking consumer guides and asking insurance agents can pay off as well. You can easily find out the price range for your insurance policy, as well as discover the lowest prices in town.

However, you should not be shopping based on price along. The insurance company should provide good service at the best price. Excellent personal service is available as well, and they provide added conveniences, although they cost a fair bit more. Ask the company how you can lower your costs, and also check their financial ratings. The rule of thumb is always to get three price quotes from three different companies, and pick the one with the best value.

It can also be a good idea to increase your deductibles. When you file a claim, the deductible is the amount you pay before the insurance company pays for the rest of the damage. A higher deductible on collision and comprehensive coverage can lead to a much lower premium. For example, increasing your deductible from $200 to $400 can reduce your premiums by up to 25%. However, you must ensure that you have the financial resources to handle the largest deductible when the time comes.

Remove certain types of coverage from your policy. Almost all the states require liability coverage for your car, but the rest of the coverage is probably dispensable. However, you do not want to be underinsured if you're in an accident, so it isn't advisable to remove all of your additional coverage. Optional coverage includes medical payments, uninsured motorist, collision, and comprehensive coverage.

Drop collision and comprehensive coverage for older cars. If you drive an older car that's worth less than $2,000, it's probably more cost-effective to drop collision and comprehensive coverage since you'll probably pay more for the coverage than you'll collect for a claim. You can find out the worth of your car by asking auto dealers and banks.

Make sure your credit report looks good. Car insurance companies often look at your credit history as there is a correlation between the risk to the company and your credit history. If you pay your bills on time and maintain a good credit history, you can enjoy lower insurance rates.

Drive less. Insurance companies often offer low-mileage discounts to motorists who drive less than a predetermined number of miles each year. You can use public transportation more often, car-pool with friends, and take the train or a plane instead of driving to another state. And you'll save on more than your coverage as you'll need to spend less on gasoline (of which prices are incredibly high).

Maintain a clean driving record. The company will give you a price break and you can save on your insurance policy after a specified period of a clean driving record. This means that you have no accidents, no serious driving violations etc, during this period of time. The simplest and surefire way to qualify for this discount is to drive carefully and defensively all the time.

Choose a low-profile car. Insurance rates vary among difference models of vehicles. Generally, sports cars and high-performance cars tend to cost more to insure, mainly because they represent more risk of theft and the drivers are often the people who drive more recklessly. Newer cars will cost more to repair or replace than older ones, so naturally they can more to insure. Low-risk vehicles include station wagons and sedans.

Ask about safety and security discounts. The insurance companies sometimes offer discounts on your insurance if your car is equipped with the following: anti-lock brakes, air bags, automatic seat belts, car alarms, tracking systems. These reduce the injury risk to you, as well as the chances of your car being vandalized or stolen.

Finally, ask about other discounts. You may receive a discount if you buy more than one type of insurance from the same company or if you insure multiple cars under the same policy or company. You may also receive discounts for taking a defensive driving course, staying with the same company for a few years, being a driver over 50, good-student discounts, and being an AAA member. Creativity Is King In Business

In my last article, “The Reality of Buying Wholesale,” we looked at some of the controls that the largest companies in the consumer goods market place on their distribution channels. As we learned, some of these companies make it impossible for the small, start-up online retailer to obtain their merchandise.

However, this is no reason to give up on your dream of being a retailer. Less capital to invest just requires a little more creativity. Many established retailers have built their businesses by starting out small and then adding more products as they grew. In this article, we’ll look at some creative options available for those who don’t meet the requirements to be an authorized retailer with some of the most popular brand names.

Where do businesses find merchandise?

I’m sure some of you are thinking right now about the many eBay sellers or independent online retailers who sell popular brand names. If they are products that are only sold direct to authorized retailers, or through wholesalers bound by strict manufacturer’s requirements, then these sellers are obtaining their products in one of three ways:

1. They are an authorized retailer who met the manufacturer’s requirements
2. They are selling used merchandise
3. They purchased their merchandise through liquidation or closeout

Sell Used Goods

If you’re looking to make money selling on eBay, selling used merchandise is a very viable idea. Many sellers, including several of my personal friends, have built successful eBay businesses selling used clothing, electronics, musical instruments, and toys, just to name a few. They locate their merchandise through estate sales, garage sales, classified ads, thrift stores, consignment shops, and sometimes even through eBay itself. Then they clean up the merchandise if need be, and list it for sale in an attractive and exciting way. I know several people who substantially subsidize their existing incomes by doing this, and I even know a couple who do nothing but sell on eBay.

Closeouts and Liquidations

Closeouts and liquidations are also a very viable source of merchandise for both eBay and an online retail store. With a good closeout or liquidation source, you purchase reasonable lots of overstocked or discontinued merchandise. You’ll be purchasing last year’s models, but there is a large market out there for this merchandise. Most people don’t have to have the latest style or model, especially when there is a large savings involved by purchasing last year’s products. Many sources of liquidations and closeouts are available by searching online and calling around to do your research.

Consider Lesser Known Brands

Another option is to look at other brands that may not be among the most popular. Not every consumer has to have the most popular, most expensive brand. In fact, most people don’t buy the top brands all of the time, making this market very large. This is an excellent option for someone who wants to establish a retail store selling brand new, recent model merchandise. Once you establish yourself as a respected retailer in this market, your reputation will make applying to resell other products that much easier.

Keep an Open Mind

When you’re deciding on a business venture, it’s very important that you don’t go in with blinders on. Be willing to consider multiple types of products before deciding on the items that you want to sell. For instance, clothing, consumer electronics, and DVDs are very popular items, and not just among consumers but also among sellers. If you choose a very popular market, the requirements for resale may not only be more difficult, but it may also be more difficult to compete with the mass of sellers in the market.

Creativity is King

Creativity is king in the business world. To be successful, you must locate a niche where you can provide a benefit that makes your business stand out. When I talk of creativity, I don’t necessarily mean originality, either. There is a difference. It’s difficult to be original in the business world, as so much has been done already. Originality doesn’t always win either. If you’re too above and beyond the norm, people may not relate to your approach, and thus turn away.

Creativity could be as simple as borrowing an idea from another market and applying it to a market where it hasn’t been used. People had long delivered flowers, and people had long delivered groceries, but no one had ever delivered pizzas until Domino’s started doing it. Now everyone down to the smallest corner pizza joint delivers pizza because it works.

That’s an example on a grand scale of where a simple idea grew into a giant success. Not all of us will be as fortunate as Domino’s, but millions of business owners have succeeded using the same principles. They located a niche where they could provide a benefit that made them stand out, if even ever so slightly from their competitors. This advantage gave them market share, and now they live comfortably from the proceeds of their creativity.

Put Forth the Time and You Will Reap the Benefits

Creating a business requires a great deal of time and research. You’ll need to research products and find some that are attainable at a price that will make you a profit. Then, you’ll need to research the market and determine an approach that will set you apart. At the same time, remember to keep an open mind and consider several markets, ideas, and approaches before you decide on the best fit. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but no one ever said that good things come easy. And I can tell you that when you do your research and do it right, the benefits are more than worth the effort.

In my next article, I’ll be discussing the reasons the Internet has made business ownership much more attainable within the last five years. Until then, put on your thinking hats and find yourself an idea worth that’s worth the effort. And, as always, good luck in all of your business ventures! Excellent Vacation Adventures at Affordable Airfare Rates!

Traveling especially with your loved ones can ease out
the daily tension brought about by everyday problems
and pressure from work, studies, home and many other
concerns. However the soaring rates and prices of
airfare can pose a problem that can hinder the
realization of traveling to the place you have been
dreaming of. Fortunately, several international
airlines offer packages, special offers and cheap
airfare that can be a great help to achieve the dream
of traveling to world-renowned countries and locations.

Cheap and discounted airfares are offered by several
airlines. Their rates can be checked through the
standard airfare rate to prove if they are really true
to their words or if they only offer false hopes and
bogus prices. The market place has pages on the net to
give information regarding the regular airfare rates
and the travel packages and plans offered by various
airlines. Cheap airfare tickets are also available on
the internet, so shopping for an airfare ticket can be
done in just one click although patience and wise
choosing are needed considering the long array of
agencies and airlines on the internet. Airline sites,
charters, consolidators, courier flights, online travel
sights and travel agents are possible sources of
airfare tickets that can suit one's budget in
traveling.

Air hitch tickets have inexpensive airfare rates but
the travelers must be ready for changes in departure,
arrival and locations. Big and small airlines nowadays
have on-line sites to show their airfare rates so
access to other possible expenses involved can be
easily found. Charter airfare can cut out expensive
costs but unexpected changes in the time of departure
and arrival can happen which can cause dissatisfaction
and hustling on the part of the traveler.
Consolidators can get the best deals on airfare rates.
The vacant seats on every flight are sold to a
consolidator since airlines must fill the maximum
capacity of the plane. Courier flights can give the
traveler the chance to have added income together with
a cheap airfare. Courier companies make use of the
limit of the baggage to include their packages for
shipping. Travel agents give middlemen services which
serve as the "in-between" of the traveler and the
airline.

Traveling can also be done together with friends, loved
ones, relatives or anyone interested through the Group
Travel privileges offered by some airlines. Instead of
spending the money for airfare alone, bigger savings
can be used for other traveling expenses. Discounted
airfare together with bonus or free airfare ticket is
given for domestic or international group travels. A
group travel agent can be consulted with regards to
airfare rate, hotels, resorts and cruise lines for the
vacation of the group. All airlines have their own
standards to determine the exact airfare and other
expenses involved when traveling to a specific
location.

Business travel airfare expenses can also be handled by
various airlines. Corporate travel does not only focus
on the cheapness of the airfare but also on the quality
of services and initiatives offered. Some business
companies focus on the schedule first, since time is
really of an essence in the corporate world rather than
the cost of the airfare. Corporate travel is a vital
part of the business process to carry out tasks and
responsibilities to ensure growth and development.David Arnold Livingston has traveled extensively and enjoys sharing his learning experiences with fellow travelers. He recommends this great airfare resource site:

Golf Swing Tips That Really Work

Great golf swing tips - enjoy! Do you know that a good golf swing has almost nothing to do with your arms? This is why practicing the No Arms drill makes perfect sense.

Don't forget to cock your wrists! This is more important than taking the golf club back straight-which is what everybody out there tells you.

The experts will also tell you to let your left arm roll slightly clockwise at the start of your back swing. But this is not something you actually have to think about. It will happen naturally if you let it. So don't sweat the small stuff!

Next, don't be daydreaming. Keep your feet on the ground. So you won't forget to do this, keep in mind that no ballerinas are allowed in the golf field! This tip always works for a lot of people.

It Don't Mean A Thing If You Ain't Got that Swing
The Golf Down Swing starts from the bottom. Thus, you can still screw it up if you start your golf down swing with your shoulders. So be careful about this! This is where you need some really special visualization techniques. Make sure you faithfully do these visualization exercises before you hit the green or the night before.
A good golf swing setup is just not that tough. Do some relaxation activities to calm your nerves before you go swinging. Yoga, meditation, counting to ten while holding your breath can work if you let it.

Finally, always adopt the athletic golf stance when on the field. It's the equivalent of the Scout's motto (Be Prepared). It will keep you prepared for the challenges that lie ahead!Enjoy more of Jonathan's golf reviews at http://golf-clubs-reviews.info

Debt Elimination 3

Planning To Achieve Debt Elimination

Once you have started the process of changing your debt mindset

to be against taking on consumer debt, then that is something

you need to continue until it becomes the norm in your life. In

some ways it is like stopping smoking; trying on will power

alone is not enough, you need to get to the source of your

problem and permanently change it. That is why self hypnosis

can be successful with stopping smoking; it reaches the

subconscious mind and re-educates it. With debt elimination, it

is the same; to succeed permanently you need to have changed the

way your mind works, not just consciously, but sub consciously

too.

In parallel to changing your mindset, you need to plan your

debt elimination strategy. This will depend on you precise

financial situation: your level of debt, monthly income,

monthly commitments, overdue debts and so on. So, I cannot make

specific suggestions for your circumstances, just give a few

pointers to what you can do to head down the road to debt

elimination. You may well get some benefit from debt counseling

or financial planning advice at this stage, but that depends on

you.

Your chances of achieving debt elimination within, say, 5

years, will depend a great deal on your own efforts, so if you

can get through this part alone, then that may strengthen your

chances of success.

Budgeting For Debt Elimination

You need to take a long hard look at your present financial

situation and how it is likely to evolve into the future. For

debt elimination to succeed, you need to be in control of your

finances and keep your finger on the pulse all the time.

The starting point should be a list of your monthly outgoings.

If you are unsure of any item, then monitor it for a month to

see. For example, you may not know exactly how much you spend

on food and other items from the grocery stores each month.

Just keep a record of them for a month to see what your monthly

expenditure is, but in the meantime use your best estimate.

You can then compare your monthly outgoings with your net

income, and this will be the basis of your budget as you

develop a plan for debt elimination. You also need to compile a

list of your debts; how much is outstanding, what the monthly

payments are, and what the interest rate is.

As an example, let us say you have a net monthly income of

$2500, and your total outgoings, including debt and credit card

repayments, are $2300. This means you have $200 to spare. With

your new, anti debt mindset, you want to use that $200 spare to

get your most expensive debts cleared first. There is a good

chance it is the credit cards that are most expensive, so you

can target the most expensive credit card ie the one with the

highest interest. You owe $600 on that card, so in 3 months you

can clear it. When cleared, you can move on to the next most

expensive.

Depending on your debt level this could be a long process;

that's why you need to plan it out and see how you will cut

down that outstanding debt level over the coming months and

years. So long as the total debt level is reducing, you are

heading in the right direction.

Also, take a close look at those monthly outgoings. Are you

sure there's nothing that can be cut out or reduced? Of course

there is, unless you've already gone through that process

recently. Be ruthless with this new mindset of yours; it really

is worthwhile, knowing there will come a day when you don't have

to worry about the odd few dollars here and there. Highlight

those budget items that are unavoidable, and make sure you pay

those first every month, or at least have the money earmarked.

If you rank your debts in order of interest rate cost, and go

for the highest first, you can work through them one by one.

Need a morale boost to get you off to a good start? Then choose

the loan with the least outstanding, and clear that first. It

may not be the best financially, but if it gives you that quick

satisfaction, so the sacrifice may be worth it.

Debt elimination is not going to be an overnight happening. You

need to be prepared to plan for a few years. 5 years is always a

good period to plan for in business, and can be too in your

personal life and finances. You may be amazed at the

transformations you can achieve in 5 years. But above all, you

need to maintain that anti debt mindset. After all, that is

what will bring you to the debt elimination pinnacle.

In the next article, we consider what to do if there is really

no spare in your monthly budget.Roy Thomsitt is the owner and part author of

The Evolution Of Christmas Ornaments

Things have come a long way since a Christmas ornament was likely to be just a ball hung by the window, or later on a Christmas tree.

Historians believe that this original Christmas decoration descended from a witch ball. The original purpose of a witch ball was to fend off evil spirits. However, being traditionally glass made, these balls were also very decorative, and people started to see their use for decorating the home. They were great decorations, so they started to move around the house a bit, and the original green colour was varied as time went on. Over the centuries, and gathering pace in the Victorian era, they were made in different colours and sizes, and even the material from which they were made started to be varied.

Also by Victorian times, it became fashionable to decorate the home for Christmas, so Christmas ornaments started to take a hold in Victorian homes. Less concerned about evil spirits, people looked at ornaments as a festive display, a symbol of celebration. Instead of warding off evil spirits, they started to accompany a surge in other spirits, most notably brandy and whisky.

From Victorian times onwards the range has increased steadily. The decorations have been hung in different places too: the mantle, windows, and front door being favourites, as well as the Christmas tree, but there is really no restriction where to hang Christmas ornaments these days. Inside, outside, it no longer seems to matter.

A lot of the increase in the use of Christmas decorations has come from the desire to impress friends, neighbours and family with the decorative display, as well, of course, for one's own enjoyment.

The Christmas ball that was supposed to have been derived from the witch ball, is still a clear favourite of the Christmas ornaments used to decorate the Christmas tree. Over the years Christmas tree balls have been designed in a great variety of colours and finish, with an increasing variety of sparkling balls.

Another favourite for Christmas decorations nowadays are the coloured fairy lights. Flashing coloured lights are often a feature of outside Christmas ornament displays, as well as for the tree and other places inside the house.

It also became quite normal in the 20th century to hang a new type of Christmas ornament on a tree; some sort of food, especially chocolate, that would be covered with a colourful, shiny paper wrapping to add a festive decorative effect. On top of the Christmas tree, a fairy has been a popular adornment over the years, but that has been changing in recent decades, and other Christmas ornaments often now take pride of place at the pinnacle.

As with so many things over the last hundred years, Christmas decorations have just got bigger and better, as well as with a greater variety. Now, in some localities, you will get local communities where house owners go to great lengths to decorate the outside of their homes with giant Christmas ornaments and lighting displays. Some such localities become well known simply for their Christmas display. Even here in the Philippines, some localities become well known in the Christmas season for their exuberant Christmas ornament displays.

For most of us, however, Christmas ornaments are about decorating our own little piece of territory to make Christmas a special occasion for the family, and it is unlikely that that will ever change.
