Car Repair 101

The more you notice about your vehicle, the more likely you'll be able to head off repair problems. Yep- even if you're mechanically challenged. You can detect many common vehicle problems by using your eyes and nose.
“See No Evil”
Is there a little stain or a drop of fluid under your vehicle? It may mean absolutely nothing. But you do want to check the wet spots immediately - just to make sure.
What color is the fluid under your car? Yellowish green, pretty blue or neon orange colors indicate an overheated engine or an antifreeze leak caused by a bad hose, water pump or leaking radiator. Not good. I remember the yellowish green ooze from my Chevette as the tow truck took it away to its final resting place. Get to a repair shop while you still can!

4 Things You Shouldn't Do When You're Buying A Home

1. Don't Make a Major Purchase
You've just found out your credit is A . That's great news, because a new car would look fantastic in the driveway of your new home. But hang on--if you are depending on a mortgage to move in, you'd best wait until after closing to buy the car.
An increase in your debt to income ratio reduces the amount of monthly income available for your mortgage payment. If you tack on a higher car payment, the bank might decide you cannot afford the home.
Using cash to purchase the car could also create a problem, since banks consider cash reserves when approving your mortgage. If you make a major purchase before closing, talk to your loan officer before you do it.
2. Don't Change Jobs Unless It's Necessary

I was hanging out in Downtown Skagway waiting to fly over the

mountain to our next stop, Gustavus. The fog was low and thick

in both towns, temporarily grounding all flights.

There isn't much to the downtown except tourist shops and

tourists. Some of the shops are interesting and even have

reasonable prices. The tourists, however, have a tendency to

crowd the sidewalks and pour into the streets, seldom watching

for traffic. I acted the same way the first time I walked down

IRS Enforced Collection

IRS Enforced Collection- now there is a term that will get your attention. I get certified mail from IRS every day on behalf of clients. Even though I have no tax problems myself, every day I catch myself flipping through that ugly stack just to make sure my name isn't there. When I do get a letter from them about me, as we all sometimes do, shivers run through me like a bolt of lightning.
Fear is the main weapon of the IRS. Just ask anyone with an Internal Revenue Service Revenue Officer breathing down their neck. As many of you know, a threat is much more powerful than the execution of the same threat. If you have kids, you know how that works. Don't threaten them, it won't work when you have to follow through. Same with the boys and girls at the IRS.

Visualisation: The Secret Tactic Of The Ultra Successful

The power of visualisation is a skill which is often neglected by people who run their own home business.
Visualisation or guided imagery is a very powerful technique that can help increase both your efficiency and effectiveness in achieving your home business goals.
“You must see your goals clearly and specifically before you can set out for them. Hold them in your mind until they become second nature.” --Les Brown--
All top class athletes utilise visualisation to mentally rehearse what they have to do and how they are going to achieve it. By doing this they train their minds and bodies to actually perform the skill as effectively and efficiently as possible.
For example, Justin Gatlin who is now the 2004 Olympic 100 m champion will have visualised e View the rest of this article

The Death-Defying Warehouse Party Life: An Interview by 'William of Orange'

About an entire local music industry that’s rarely heard from, briefly navigated by a remote being that coalesces, rarely, around music scenes and their absurd atrocities; published by "The Stranger" weekly newspaper of Seattle, WA.
Sonny Chelf is the orneriest house party producer I know who hails from Tacoma. In fact, he’s the only such producer I know from Tacoma. Most of those kind of guys hang about the Seattle area, drifting back and forth in their musical skeins and ongoing search for monetary angles.
Jason Alley’s from Issaquah. They both operate forklifts in warehouses for their real livings. And I met them over coffee awhile ago at Starbucks on Broadway for a happy, peppy interview with two of the greater Seattle area’s own warehouse party producers View the rest of this article
